ABOUT

"I will extol the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips. My soul will boast in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together...Taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him." Psalm 34:1-3; 8

Welcome to, O Taste and See: Finding Christ in all Things: Responding in Worship. My name is Micah Klutinoty and my purpose for this blog is to share personal experiences, share challenges, share convictions, share meditations from scripture, and to hopefully encourage you to notice Christ all around you everyday, and respond properly...IN WORSHIP!

I am the Worship Pastor at Harvest Bible Chapel in Granger, IN and enjoy serving the Lord along with my family. My wife and best friend, Nicole, and I were married July 28, 2007, both hailing from Pittsburgh, PA. On November 1, 2009 we thankfully and joyfully welcomed our baby girl into the world, Reese Abigail. Together we strive to glorify God in everything. He has blessed us far beyond what we deserve, and for that we worship Him. Some of our favorite things are hanging with family and friends, the beach, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pens.

In 2005, I accepted God's call on my life, to full time ministry after attending a "Straight Up" conference, at James MacDonald's Harvest Bible Chapel in Chicago. After accepting that call I found myself at Liberty University studying Worship and Music ministry as well as Biblical Studies. Throughout my time there God worked on my heart greatly concerning true, Biblical worship, as well as gave me a passion for a solid theology in our worship. Graduating in December of 2008, God called Nicole and I to South Bend, IN where we currently serve.

"O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!" Psalm 8:1

Our worship is initiated by God, and a response on our part. Everything around us declares the glory of God, but it takes stopping and noticing on our part in order for a proper response. I pray that in writing this blog, glory would be given to the Lord, and that His Word would be held high as we become the worshipers God seeks. I have a heart to see the church produce passionate, contagious worshipers...Worshipers that are not defined by a certain type of music or confined to a half-hour of singing on Sunday mornings. I have a heart to see the church produce worshipers who realize that "giving worth" to God is an every day, every hour, every moment affair. I have a heart to see the church produce worshipers who find Christ in everything, responding in worship...worshipers who "Taste and See that the Lord is GOOD!"

With all these desires for the church, they are first desires for my own life. Paul states in 1 Timothy 1:12, "I thank him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, appointing me to his service." I praise God daily for His call on my life to His church and I strive to "walk worthy of that calling,"(Eph. 4:1). I long to be a worshiper of spirit and truth (Jn. 4:24), and pray that as He sanctifies me, purifies me, disciplines me, chastens me, and tries me, he would continue to refine me for His glory.

With all that being said, I pray this blog would help you turn to God's Word, stop and notice His mercies and beauty and majesty all around, and help produce a thankful, joyful, steadfast response of worship to our perfect, Holy, Worthy King....JESUS!
